I recently rented the St Honoré Apartment for a group of four. We invited a friend who was working in Paris over for dinner one evening. His question to us upon arriving at the apartment was "How did you manage to find the nicest apartment in all of Paris?" It's a great apartment, visually stimulating, comprehensibly complete, secure and comfortable. The photos speak for themselves. Appliances and fixtures are high quality. Internet and telephone were world class - fast and free. Bring your favorite music on a USB stick for playback on the apartment stereo or enjoy HDTV. I should mention here that the owner/managers M.& Mme. Loris go beyond your expectations throughout the rental process. Pre booking information was received fast, the apartment booking was easy and arrival and departure was informative and enjoyable. Marie and Diran go from your email contacts to your Christmas Card list. They are very nice people that you can trust with your travel plans and people you'll want to consult with for any return trip to Paris. The location in the center of Paris is the best part of it all. You can sleepwalk to the Louvre or d'Orsay. The Tuilleries is your neighborhood morning walk. You can shop at the Monoprix until 10p or the Saint-Honoré Farmers Market Wednesday evenings or Saturday for food. Rue St Honoré boutiques go on for blocks and blocks. Hop on your local Metro Line 1 three minutes walk away and be in Bastille or La Defense in 10 minutes. Living on Rue St Honoré for a time will give you a chance to explore a new neighborhood that exists after the busy Paris workday. There is a neighborhood here, with boucheries, boulangers an 8 à Huit and perhaps the earliest opening Starbucks in all of France. It's all mixed in with YSL, Colettes and the Hotel Costes.

"Amazingly gracious hosts in the face of disappointing circumstan" After several weeks of emails, phone conversations, arrangements and mounting excitement, on our way to the airport our flight to my "dream birthday celebration" in Paris was cancelled due to the erupting Icelandic volcano! We were devastated as we were to be the first guests in the Loris' gorgeous St. Honore apartment! However within 24 hours our gracious and helpful hosts had refunded our money and assisted us in arranging a replacement week in the fall. We cannot wait to meet this charming and honest couple when we finally enjoy their beautiful apartment later this year.
